Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers understand cricket through its play, places and traditions, with a clear idea and a useful point of view.

What we welcome

Propose an original explanation, comparison, history or reader-focused account connected to cricket and coastal settings. Strong ideas have a defined subject, explain why it matters, and can be handled responsibly without unsupported claims or instructions that require specialist judgment.

Shape a useful pitch

Tell us the proposed angle, the reader it serves and the central question the piece will answer. Include a brief outline and note any sources, permissions or potential conflicts relevant to the idea. A pitch is more useful when its subject is distinct from material already planned.

Send a proposal

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please submit a pitch rather than a completed article unless a full draft has been requested. We cannot promise publication or a particular response time.
